i watched “dear jack” a few days ago. i would recommend it to anybody. cancer has always had a special connection to me, even before my grandfather was diagnosed which is mostly why i want to go into oncology. my grandfather died of stomach cancer and when he passed i was only in 7th grade going into 8th and at the time i really didn’t know what was wrong with him because my mom never told me details i guess to save my “childhood innocence.” anyways, every time i listen to jack’s mannequin i think about him. watching the documentary i found out that andrew wrote this song about his sister katie who was a bone marrow match for andrew and they did the whole bone marrow transplant thing. i think this song is really pretty and so i downloaded it but it wasn’t in the right format so here’s a video
